Running has brought so many joys to my life. As a runner who started after having kids, I have an understanding of the daily challenges and obstacles people who have a family face in reaching personal goals. I believe these challenges are worth overcoming as the benefits are plenty and extremely rewarding across all areas such as physical health, mental health, community connection and personal satisfaction.

I am passionate about the benefits of physical movement to us individually, as a community, and the broader social and mental health benefits it provides.

After completing my first marathon at the Melbourne Marathon festival in 2012, I was ready to hang up my running shoes - however, the opportunity came to run the Great Ocean Road marathon in 2014 and since then I haven’t stopped. The joy of crossing the finishing line is an incredible feeling, but it is actually the training blocks to prepare that keep me running.

I have since gone on to complete over 20 marathons and ultramarathons, including two 100km events. I am proud to have reached PBs in both the marathon (2019 Melbourne Marathon) and half marathon (2021 Sandy Point Half Marathon) over the last two years - getting older hasn’t slowed me down. I credit strength training and consistent track and interval-based sessions for this.

I have so many amazing memories and life experiences from running and I never would have believed I could have achieved even one marathon before I started running.

If you are looking for a challenge that also improves your health, wellbeing and confidence - get in touch, I’d love to talk to you about running and answer any questions you have.
